Chad Finn from Boston.com wrote a bit on Rusney Castillo, the Cuban star who was signed by the Red Sox just last week. So we talked a bit about Rusney this week. And about how, as bad as the 2014 Red Sox are, they're still not as bad as the 2012 squad. Listen. More
We learned earlier this week that the NFL has a short-list of acts they'd like to perform at this year's Super Bowl...for a (not-so-small) fee. I was curious to get Zuri Berry's take on that, and on the recent trend of what I categorize as arrogant behavior from the National Football League. Great topics, great discussion. Listen. More
If you've been paying attention to Arcade Fire's recent North American tour, you might have noticed a pattern: the band is incorporating covers into their sets (as bands tend to do), but with a local twist. For instance, their "soundclash" in L.A. earlier this summer featured the Beverly Hills Cop theme and the opening riff from "Welcome To The Jungle." More
Zuri Berry has been in Foxboro all week, monitoring joint practices and taking copious notes. He joined me earlier to talk about what to expect from Preseason Game 2 tomorrow at Gillette. (Spoiler alert: you're going to see all three quarterbacks.) More

Jackie Bradley Jr. is a defensive spectacle who can't seem to hit major league pitching, so is he worth...you get the idea. Listen to me, Chad Finn, and Steve Silva talk Red Sox. More
Boston.com's Zuri Berry called in live from Virginia to recap the Patriots' joint practices with Washington and to preview their first preseason game Thursday night. Of course, I had to ask him if he got one of those cool t-shirts, too. More
I'm not much for summertime TV. I've given up all hope on Season Two of "Under The Dome" (skip the whole thing; read the book instead) and I immediately felt guilty after watching "Sharknado 2." The bulk of my summer screen time usually comes from watching the Red Sox, but they haven't done much by way of entertainment on the field lately, in case you haven't noticed. All of that's to say, I'm pleased to see the Boston Symphony Orchestra has put together something worth watching this summer. More
