Boston Calling: Future Islands Interview
Music
The boys from Future Islands stopped by and chatted with RadioBDC's Julie Kramer before opening the September 2014 Boston Calling Festival. Listen to their set tonight, September 5th, at 6:45pm by going to RadioBDC.com! Live stream powered by Xfinity.
Our pal Perry Eaton of BDCwire was the first to hip us to the web series, but it was writer and director Jared Vincenti who was in studio this morning to talk all things Allston Xmas. The Last Comic Standing veteran was in studio this morning. He’ll be at Laugh Boston this weekend. Click here for tickets. As summer turns to fall, your outdoor focus turns to different activities. And Moose Jaw is the best place to start. Robbie Marks from Moose Jaw stopped by for a visit this morning. The largest climate march in history is taking place in New York City on September 21. Jean Foster of 350MA.org joined us this morning to talk about the People’s Climate March. We capped off a busy summer in RadioBDC Studio B–powered by Shock Top–with a fantastic performance by Joywave on Thursday, August 25 2014.  Sushi for breakfast? Sushi for breakfast. Our friend Jackie Wuttihamrong of FuGaKyu came by this morning for this week’s edition of Henry in the Grub. Matthew Gilbert writes about TV for the Boston Globe. He’s also written a book, “Off the Leash: A Year at the Dog Park.” Matthew stopped by the studio this morning to bark, er, talk about it.
