BSO web series spotlights young talent at Tanglewood
Music
I'm not much for summertime TV. I've given up all hope on Season Two of "Under The Dome" (skip the whole thing; read the book instead) and I immediately felt guilty after watching "Sharknado 2." The bulk of my summer screen time usually comes from watching the Red Sox, but they haven't done much by way of entertainment on the field lately, in case you haven't noticed. All of that's to say, I'm pleased to see the Boston Symphony Orchestra has put together something worth watching this summer. More

This Saturday and Sunday, August 2nd and 3rd, is the first-ever Nantucket Music Festival. Cynthia Dareshori checked in with me earlier to talk about the lineup (Guster! Edward Sharpe!) and more. Click through for all the details. Week 1 of camp is in the books. Zuri Berry checked in with first impressions on Darrelle Revis, Rob Gronkowski, James White, Jimmy Garoppolo, and more. Listen. Legendary Boston electro-pop duo Adventure Set are set to release a new four song ep “Gazebo.” Ken Scales from the band stopped by for a visit this morning. Brian Mercury, named Best Pastry Chef in Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston 2014, brought sweets aplenty for this week’s installment of Henry in the Grub. You have until July 31 to submit your creative work for review at BDCwire.com. My pal Perry Eaton tweeted this about Review Anything August: We love KIND Bars. And we love that James Russo of KIND Healthy Snacks was able to return to RadioBDC this morning for a visit. Take a listen. Sam, Barry, Ross, and Craig came up to the studio to chat about going up against Metallica and Pixies at Glastonbury, tracking their new album using a pretty famous piano, and the bevy of great bands coming out of Glasgow in recent years.
