Local artists debut #LOVEATFIRSTSLIME wearable art at The Beat Hotel

Amidst the eclectic and beatnik-inspired ambiance at The Beat Hotel in Harvard Square, artist Jordan Piantedosi and designer Erin Robertson, debuted their new collaborative line of quirky and vibrant clothing this past Wednesday night. Guests and models alike sauntered around the restaurant sporting the duo’s unique line of brightly colored jackets embellished with eyeballs and leather sleeves, and glistening, pink leather skirts, hand-painted with psychedelic colored flowers.

The two came together several months ago after wanting to explore ways that Piantedosi could incorporate her artwork with Robertson’s respected fashion design aesthetic. After experimenting with paint on an array of different types of leather and synthetic materials, #LOVEATFIRSTSLIME, the pair’s rare and beautiful mini-line of wearable artwork, was born. From the seamless craftsmanship and intricate detail work of each piece, the line undoubtedly exhibits both Piantedosi’s enormous artistic talent that shines through with every mermaid and flower pattern she incorporates, and Robertson’s impeccable ability to craft intrepid dress designs.

Be on the lookout for even more from the two, who plan to extend the line and introduce their existing pieces through a website that will be completed soon. Check out an awesome behind the scenes video from the women at the helm of #LOVEATFIRSTSLIME here.
