Nirvana plays with St. Vincent, J. Mascis, Kim Gordon, and more in front of 200 people

Last night, Nirvana was honored and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the week after the 20th anniversary of Kurt Cobain’s passing. Fans had been speculating for weeks as to who might be the one filling Cobain’s role as lead singer, until we found that the vocals would be handled at the ceremony by the likes of Joan Jett, Lorde, St. Vincent, and Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth. Those performances went off without a hitch, and the ceremony even included an extra-heavy moment as Courtney Love embraced Dave Grohl during the acceptance speech (there were some mixed reactions to it).

The fun didn’t stop there though. According to Noisey, directly after the ceremony ended, the Nirvana camp hiked from the massive Barclays Center in Brooklyn to Saint Vitus, a seemingly tiny venue in Greenpoint, to continue the jams in front of about 200 people. Grohl, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear, and co. took the stage to a private, invite-only crowd and proceeded to play a 15-song set, inviting up Joan Jett, St. Vincent, Kim Gordon, J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr., and John McCauley of Deer Tick.

The entire set list is below, as well as various videos from the show:
